弊社（株）クラシカウンシルが運営する手紡ぎ手織りの学校「Looms」にて講師を務める、原しおりさんのi-wool(県産羊毛）ネクタイです。天然染料を使い、細番手の繊細な紡ぎ糸をつくる原さん。 クラシカルでトラディッショナルなデザインのガンクラブチェックのネクタイは、シーンや世代を問わずお使いになれます。 ■i-wool(岩手県産羊毛） 素材はすべて、岩手県産羊毛サフォーク種の羊から頂いた羊毛（i-wool)です。サフォーク種は、毛足が短めで弾力があり、ストール、ジャケット、ブランケット等の手織り物、ニット用の紡ぎ糸、フェルトなど幅広く活用できます。しかし、遊休農地の草処理や肉用に育てられた羊の県産羊毛は、使わずに廃棄されていました。そんななか、数年前から岩手県と生産者、そしてホームスパンの作り手が一体となり、県産羊毛を活用する「i-wool(アイウール)プロジェクト」に着手。その活動は、地域資源循環の貴重な取り組みとして、2020年のグッドデザイン賞を受賞しています。 ■仕様 ・材質　ウール100% ・手紡ぎ手織り （天然染料/ロックウッド、タマネギ、コチニール） ・最大幅約8cm　最小幅約3cm 長さ約148cm ■原しおり 盛岡市出身。2014年から盛岡市内在住のホームスパン作家・植田紀子氏に師事。3年の内弟子期間を経て、研究生として同工房に所属しながら、自身の作品づくりに取り組んだ。現在は独立し、県内イベント等に参加している。 This is an i-wool necktie by Shiori Hara, who is a lecturer at Looms, a hand-spun and hand-woven school run by our company, Classic Council Co., Ltd. Ms. Hara uses natural dyes to create fine, delicate yarns. The gun club check necktie with a classical and traditional design can be used regardless of the occasion or generation. ■ i-wool (wool produced in Iwate Prefecture) All materials are wool (i-wool) obtained from Suffolk sheep from Iwate prefecture. The Suffolk variety has short hair and elasticity, and can be used for a wide range of purposes such as hand-woven items such as stoles, jackets, and blankets, spun yarn for knits, and felt. However, prefectural wool from sheep raised for weeding idle farmland and meat was not used and was discarded. Under such circumstances, several years ago, Iwate Prefecture, producers, and homespun makers worked together to launch the “i-wool project” that utilizes prefecture-grown wool. Since 2014, she has studied under Noriko Ueda, a homespun artist living in Morioka City. After being an uchideshi for three years, she became a research student at the same workshop while working on her own creations. She is currently independent and participates in prefectural events.
